Senior Web Developer

JOB DETAILS:
You would be responsible for helping build and maintain almost 1,000 websites globally as well as playing a big part in the ongoing development of our software. Coding wise would be a mix of front end, server side and SQL and other technical advice, mentoring some of our more junior coders and providing guidance to technical PMs.

You would be working with a team of around 30 developers, designers, project managers and support crew – the work is very varied which keeps things always fresh and exciting.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with a wide variety of CMS systems (WordPress, Drupal, Magento etc)
  • Strong technical skills in PHP OOP and PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Code Igniter or similar
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, you have heard of OWASP, know what SQL injection is and preferably have good e-commerce build experience
  • Advanced SQL (MySql) skills
  • Experience working with Rest, Soap, Curl, OAuth based APIs
  • You have strong testing and debugging skills to ensure a quality end product
  • You communicate technical subjects well and write organised and sustainable code
  • You are as comfortable with front end technology as you are server-side
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in a medium to senior development role
